Well, I’ve being trying Wordpress for a while. I am not an expert by any means, but I have taken tutorials about how to design a custom template from scratch and I’ve designed and modified them several times. My problem is motivation. Every time I decide to set up a blog, I install everything, I find a nice template, I modify it and deploy it in my server, but that’s it. This is the first time I feel pleased with it, and also the first time I have some original content to add here.

What can you expect from this space? One of the things I want to do in this blog is to share with you my insights about social media usage in Puerto Rico. I am not planning to just say I am a “social media expert” and then rewrite articles from Mashable or other websites to publish them here. More than that, I want to share with you visual analytics about the usage of social media in Puerto Rico. One example of this is shown below in a Wordle of the words used in Twitter during the general strike against the government on October 15, 2009. Right now I am writing a post about this event and how Twitter was used while people were protesting.

Also, expect random posts about my life, technology, and specially Apple and Google fanboysm.

Finally, expect both, English and Spanish written posts. I am in the states and I need to practice my English, but if the article is about Puerto Rico, expect it to be written in Spanish. =)
